Work Trip to NC

Last week I went back to North Carolina for a work trip.  It was great to catch up with old friends and colleges.  Addyson and Daddy had a wonderful time.  She did so well for him, sleeping through the night and being a good girl.  When I picked up Addyson from school Friday she said to me "chicken and french fries".  Hmmmm I think she has that in common with Daddy.  They were on the go constantly and had  a blast.  Makes it easy to relax when away.

Last thing I was able to enjoy was getting back into running.  Last day there, I got a 2 mile run in while the sun was rising near the ocean.  Very peaceful.

This weekend we enjoyed having family visit us.  Sunday we went to the pumpkin patch.  It is so much fun to see Addyson spend time with her cousins.  She loves following them around, even if it's the same circle in the corn maze.

Addy and Daddy' first fort!

Eric built Addyson her first fort last night in the movie room. She loved it. She had to snuggle with the doggies. Then she ran back and forth under it laughing and giggling away! She is so much fun right now as she explores and becomes more independent. Dad had to promise to build another one soon so we didn't go to bed on tears.

Plainfield Harvest 5k

This Sunday we ran the Plainfield Harvest 5k. This was the second year we have all run the race. Addyson was a great rider for Eric. Awesome job to Dad for not only pushing the stroller as it pulled to the left but also for finishing in 30:03. Mom finished a personal record with her run/walk plan in 30:53! We had a blast. Afterwards we went to lunch and walked around and visited the ducks by the Plainfield river walk. What a great day. Hope to keep this as an annual race or idea wherever we are.

Mortum Arboretum

Eric, Addy and I went to the Mortum Arboretum.  We enjoyed exploring the kids garden.  While we were there Addyson shared her first picnic with us.  What a blast it is to take her places. She is so curious and really loves exploring.

Mom, does this remind you of a picture you have of Me?

Wading through the pond. She's unsure.

August favorite Pastimes

Some of Addyson's favorite things to do now are play hide and seek, drive the "mawmower" with Dad, go out to eat and climb on the dogs.

She also enjoyed helping bake a cake for Eric's birthday!  Yummy icing.

Stay tuned for lots of fun coming in September.  We just spent time with Aunt Alyssia and Uncle Ryan at their new home in Ohio.  Addy slept in a big girl bed and loved it.  She kept asking for "Sasha" all the way home.  Addyson is going to start a new school in October and we will hopefully run the Plainfield Harvest 5K at the end of September.
